Medioevo e rinascimento veronesi
di Mattia Vinco
Roberto Longhi never studied Veronese painting sistematically during his life, and his publications entirely dedicated to this school of painting are rare. However from his texts and private communications to col- leagues and collectors, his deep knowledge of the Middle Age and Renaissance Painting in Verona clearly arises. With this article I intend to collect all the published and unpublished work by Longhi on this topic to underline his importance in the study of the Veronese Masters and Veronese painting from the 14th to the 16th century. His proposals brought new ideas to the catalogue on the works of Lorenzo Veneziano, Francesco Benaglio, Domenico Morone, Michele and Liberale da Verona..
