I cavalieri dell’imperatore.
Tornei, Battaglie e Castelli
Pamela Breda
The exhibition I cavalieri dell’imperatore, which was held at the Castello del Buonconsiglio, in Trento, and at Castel Beseno, at Besenello, between July and November 2012, was a signifcant example of the recent, growing trend of studies devoted to medieval chivalry and to its social and cultural implications. The exhibition catalogue ofers a useful analysis both of the iconography of the miles and of the historic evolution of tournaments and battles between the late Middle Ages and the early modern period in Trentino and Alto Adige.
