Monza 1403: gli arredi liturgici del Duomo, una basilica nell’orizzonte europeo
Roberta Delmoro
The inventory of the bona pretiosa et res of Monza Cathedral dated 1403, the last of the series of Medieval inventories of the Treasure of the Monza Church, is of particular interest for the listing and description of the numerous ecclesiastical items, treasure pieces and codices of the library, together with vestments and liturgical garments constituting the largest portion of the Church’s goods at the close of the Middle Ages. Along with various items of the Treasure, this essay examines the types of liturgical apparel and fabric items listed, offering reflections of an iconographic nature, as well as on the history of the Visconti Duchy.
