«Una lacerante disperazione dell’effimero»: il confronto Ragghianti-Picasso
Giuliana Tomasella
One of the most celebrated artists of the twentieth century, Pablo Picasso, has attracted the interest of many art historians all over the Western world. Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti was not an exception: in a fifty year activity, Ragghianti wrote on Picasso on several occasions. This essay explores the originality of Ragghianti’s interpretation of Picasso’s art and how it changes from the first papers written during the Fourties to the seminal essay Vita mortale di Picasso published in 1984 in «Critica d’Arte».
