Le Edizioni U e Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti
Francesco De Carolis
This paper investigates the publishing house Edizioni U. Founded by Dino Gentili, who appointed Ragghianti chair of the editorial board, Edizioni U represents a clear attempt to bring Italy beyond the Fascist era. Giving voice to Italian authors such as Calamadrei, Salvemini, Lionello Venturi, and the American anthropologist Margaret Mead, notwithstanding its short life, Edizioni U is a fascinating case in point as regards cultural life in Italy at the end of the second world war
